iPhone losing the my phone number

The setting for my phone number on my 3GS goes blank, don't know why! Anyone know how to stop this?

Are you also having trouble with no reception? My wife's 5s came out of the box like that and I had to go to the at&t store to have them reset and re-activate it. Nothing I did at home cured the problem.

Reception has always been lousy compared to those on Verizon, but losing phone number started about a month ago. I'll go to apple store to see if they can fix it
