iOS iPhone Mail app plugin

Hello,
does Apple allows to extend the functionality of their own apps (e.g. Mail ) via plugins or something ? I would be interested in modifying Mail.

I don't know for absolute certain but I'd put a fair amount of money on the answer being no.

Yeah, that's the answer I feared. I think Apple don't like when devs extend their own applications.
