As far as I’m concerned, your rights to free speech end on my property. Say what you want, but not on my dime or on my front lawn.
Agreed but if you owned everything to include the interet then you would control free speech. I agree that 1A only applies to government censorship of free speech. My point was that if you have control over enough then you could effectively censor speech (exactly what is happening now). Most forums of speech are done on private property. If you don't own your house then your speech is on someone else's property. Unless you own the ISP then you're using someone's property to speak online. I don't know if there is a magic fix but what we have in the USA isn't that different than what is going on in China with the exception of who is dictating the speech allowed.

So it’s not going to be mainly in China but another country where labor is also exploited, seems legit.

China has no aspiration for world domination. You are only afraid of losing yours.

You mean China / CCP forcing Chinese employees from Chinese companies to work in the best interest of China / CCP ( whether they like it or not ) , including voting in election, ( as in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and possibly US ) forcing "correct" political views while holding your jobs or other value hostage, targeting specially ( US or the West ) is not aspiration of World Domination ?

US is no Saint, far from it. But if we were to pick the less evil it is still ten times better than China.

I was just about to mention this on another thread.
China needs to learn a lesson and The West needs to stop propping up a country that is run by tyrants who want to achieve world domination.
Next step is to ban any internet companies associated with China until they allow Google, Facebook, and other companies to operate in their country unfettered by censorship. Like that would ever happen.

lol its a pity the country run by warmongering tyrants who already dominate the world can't make phones themselves.

10 times better.. or 10 time more wars? how many wars have China been during the last century? I guess casualties in war don't deserve human rights.

When will the US get what's coming to them?
China has no aspiration for world domination. You are only afraid of losing yours.

And you are losing it, big time. You think you are so special, that gravity does not apply to you, that you can set the rules and not follow them yourselves. You can't, and gravity is pulling you down now from your lofty heights.

It is fascinating seeing an empire crumbling in real time.

The more crap I hear from you and other Americans about China, especially from Pompeo, Trump and your fascist government, the more inclined I become to replace the only thing American I ever buy, i.e. Macs and Iphones.

Fix your own country, and stop telling others what to do. I sincerely hope the Chinese will teach YOU a lesson, because you are so in need of it. They should kick you out of the Pacific, because you have no business there.

You need to realize that “the West” is not onboard with you on this. It is you and your puppet states in Five Eyes against China, and we in the EU will not take part in your aggressions.

Oh, what do we have here? A person who hates the West and everything it stands for. Got news for you, son, the U.S.A. has a lot of faults but it's still hand down a better place to live than China will ever be. We don't need China, they need us. The West is waking up to their designs and we're not going to pay for their military build up.

And what about Facebook, Google, etc. censorship? You do realize that you do NOT have freedom of speech on any of their platforms. So it’s bad for the Chinese to censor but okay for American Tech Tyrants companies to do so? 🙄
I agree with you, I find their censorship of late appalling.

Agreed. Try to fire someone for non-performance! Also, don't talk about labor unions at the every level.
Forget. I am part of middle management. I love the benefits and will gladly pay my union dues but they make innovation next to impossible. I get why companies don’t want them. These tech companies. But again I’m pro union as a concept. It’s just hard being in management dealing with them.

Thats very brave of them to say this while they still rely on China for 70% of the manufacturing.

As powerful as the USA is, I don't recall a time it was the world's manufacturer. No country was. It was extremely dangerous to rely on 1 country for world manufacturing, everything is made in China. Even worse, its a totalitarian state, meaning its going to use its economic power and tax money coming from countries all around the world to enforce their mindset and politics on world issues and smaller weaker countries by luring them with economic benefits. Hopefully the corona virus situation and USA's anti-China politics would drive more manufacturing out of China and balance things out.

That's cool. You have your bubble.

I am no fan of the current US administration and feel in this millennium, we've done more harm than good but... and big but...

Europe has a long history of looking the other way as despots and fascists come to power. You're not fully immune to what China is up to.

There is no “west”. What are you talking about. And so far it is Trump who is the Tyrant not even supported by his own people. Spare us the propaganda.

The folks who run Apple are smarter than to buy into this small-time internet nationalist fanboy stuff.

To be fair we're stuck between two countries where despots and facists are in power - China and the USA. It's impossible to side with either.

People look at others and point out their flaws but they never look in a mirror. This exact statement could apply to the USA. Before you say oh you're just anti American umm no. I'm actually proud to be American and I think our system of government can be the best out there. I'm just not someone who thinks their 💩 doesn't smell.

Said the Chinese company*** #rolleyes

This news should read "Foxcon Taiwanese based company attempts to remain relevant, avoiding US sanctions by moving plants to other countries." To many people are suckers for headlines these days..

Good. We must bring more manufacturing capacity to the USA. It’s a national security issue as the pandemic and lack of USA made PPE has shown. China is not a friend to the USA, the west nor to democracy and freedom. We need the ability to manufacture things here. Especially in the years to come as China becomes more and more aggressive militarily.
Why do people say this nonsense in 2020. Are you or your kids signing up for repetitive low paying factory jobs? Do some research on the long term dexterity health of the factory workers. This is not a job you would wish on someone you didn’t hate. ”Not me” is what people in the US will say when asked to do these jobs.

Two points

1:- American does not have a monopoly on manufacturing. Anything made in the USA can be found from non-US sources. Its pretty difficult to avoid Chinese made products. Not only the product is made in China but the whole manufacturing chain is in China from A-to-Z. The only US only product I know is computer x86 processors which I don't believe is made in USA but in Taiwan.

2:-China is a dictatorship, You have to abide what the government says or they will let you join the camp of Uyghur muslim slave camps to be a forced labour chained to your bed. In the USA, there is a distribution of power. Journalism, freedom of speech, rallying, justice system, parliament...etc. You can take the US president to court, in China you go to jail for saying the Chinese president looks like Winnie the pooh.

1:- American does not have a monopoly on manufacturing. This is only from our own doing. We screwed the economy and lost jobs due to terrible government.

2:-USA is a republic, You have to abide what the government says or they will let you join the camp as well. You can however make fun of the president or political representatives.
