iPhone making random phone calls

Happens to me all the time - drives me crazy as the contact called is so random and generally someone almost unknown to me - this along with dropped calls makes we want to check out the Verizon phone, but I bet there will be no change in this problem - remember Joe #%^&*@ from Al Capp? I'm pretty sure he had an I-phone.

Random Calling Still a Problem

My wife's iPhone 4 has the random calling problem. I have a 3Gs and have not had the problem. Naturally, we have different apps on our phones and perhaps therein lies the difference. It would seem to be a difficult task for Apple to determine which app(s) is/are causing the problem if indeed that is the cause. Anyone have an update on this?

My iPhone 3gs makes random calls, too

At least 2-5 times each week, the phone calls someone from my contact list -- often an old client from years ago! this is extremely embarrassing. This has been happening since I got the phone! I simply HATE it. The phone will be sitting on my bureau for hours and then suddenly make two or three calls. This is the dumbest thing. Apple tech support claims they've never heard of this problem. I get no help from them at all.
