iPhone/MBP won't connect

Got a new MBP (15" mid-2015) and attempted to connect my iPhone 6 Plus via USB port. The phone begins constantly vibrating and connecting/disconnecting.

Already tried reboots and different cables. Any other suggestions?

That is the exact symptom I have seen when attempting to use third party cables.

I'm also experiencing this same issue with an iPhone 6 Plus via USB port. I"ve tried 3 different official apple cables (the ones including with the iPhone) and 3 different ports on my computer (iMac 5k Retina). I am using Yosemite Beta.
