This is a bit odd. I’ve had my mini since early March 2021 and use Anker GaN charger (30w) and official Apple USB-C to lightning cable for complete dead or under 20% battery charge levels. Mostly using Qi charging on Belkin 3-in-1 most days/nights. Minimal Qi charging using my 3rd party MagSafe compatible portable charger.

I’m at 95%

I’m particularly not worried since I have AppleCare+ and will upgrade to 13 mini or possibly 13 Pro still unsure.

Apple will say it is normal, as long as you're >80% you're fine and within normal design parameters of the battery. Some batteries come under 100% capacity from the factory, others, more. That's why some people are a lot lower than 100% after a year or two of usage, and some still sit at 100%. Batteries are not an exact number due to the chemistry makeup of the battery. Fluctuation of capacity is also normal.

I've observed my batteries since my iPhone 6+, sometimes weekly, it's normal for capacity to fluctuate somewhat, to drop more some months, and not at all some other months.

I'm at 96% and I've had the phone about 7-8 months.

I charge on a Samsung Qi charger or with an Apple cable when in my car.

Well my wife have a 12 mini and their battery’s health is 88%, she uses a case and charge with Qi charger every night.

the heating is the very bad thing for the battery
