iPhone 12 iPhone Mini display brightness

the Mini is very much darker at full brightness than my 11 Pro. That’s I guess to be expected? But the slider seems to stop about half way up; sliding between 50% brightness and 100% brightness seems to do nothing.

Does anyone else have this?

Doesn’t make sense since after 50% nothing happens. Should be increasing brightness still.

Is the phone hot from setting it up. If it's too hot it will decrease the brightness.

Try switching to light mode and play with the brightness bar. Same thing?

also try turning auto brightness off too

Tried both. Nothing.

If it let you go up over 50%, the battery would probably only last for 5 minutes.

Ha. Well it should at least spread that 50% over 100%

Did you try Settings > General > reset all settings?

I Just tested this on my iphone 12 mini and it's working fine. It's not stopping halfways, the brightness increases up to the max

Thanks. That's what I wanted to know. I'll wait until it's all updated then turn off and then on and then see what's what.

Yep working perfectly on mine now. Perhaps it was just Apple being careful while it was updating.
