Doesn't apply to phones though. Plastic backs feel less premium than glass, even though just as functional and stronger. Optimal case is something like the iPhone 5C, no case needed. Got to wonder if the accessory sellers nixed that design trend.

I'm at 1:40 SOT today with 78% battery left. Man, I'm done even remotely thinking battery will be an issue for me. I'm confident there will be a handful of days out of a year where I really feel the need to throw it on the charger, but that already happened here and there on previous X/Xs/11 devices.
I'm sad 'cos it seems like I unfortunately have to return my 12 Mini to Apple ☹️ Got my Mini on Friday and I've had a headache basically all weekend, today and yesterday. I tried to use Mini along side with my iPhone 8 that has never given me any issues and every time I switched to Mini, not long after I could feel my headache worsening, then I went back to iP8 and felt better. So, it seems that my eyes are sensitive to PWM (first time using OLED screen) and therefor cannot use Apple's OLED phones 😫 I'm bummed, 'cos I really like the Mini with everything else that it has to offer 👍 Now, it seems that iPhone 11 is my next upgrade...🤔
Many people think aluminum or plastic is cheap and not as status ego boosting, because they have been conditioned by their peers to adopt that kind of mentality. And that same mentality is promoted and reinforced on this forum.
I went with black. It's a timeless classic that you can always tweak with different colour accents via the use of a case.
There's a transparent case with red Flanders poppies that's perfect at this time of year as a reminder of the sacrifices made in the Great War.
78% with 1h 40m SOT is really bad unless you had 100% brightness with some very heavy usage like gaming. I’m keeping my 11 Pro as a baseline of course.

Do yourself a favor, and quit thinking you’re an ideal candidate to own a Mini. It’s nonsense.
I got 2x iPhone 12 Mini’s 64gb in white on release day, one for myself and dad. He’s keeping his but I’m swopping mine for black and upping storage to 128GB. Delivery due on Tuesday so not long to wait.
If I was going naked I would keep the white it looks fantastic but I’m going to use it with a leather case and feel it works better with the black finish around the camera cutout. Ultimately of course this is all down to personal preference.
I have the blue. Love love the sides. Back is ok. Haven't seen the black in person but looks great in pics
I chose the blue for a change from my black Xr. I do like it, however like the previous poster, I wish the back were more like the color of the aluminum sides.
I came from an iPhone X knowing that the biggest noticeable pro for me would be the size.
I'm not dissapointed. Going back to the decision I made to move from the OG SE to iPhone X, I disliked the larger unpokettable size, but loved the UI more. I got used to "dealing with" the X but always wanted exactly this iPhone 12 in terms of size.

That 11 seemed to die unsually fast. Still, the mini seems like when the network usage isn't pushed, it has a good amount of screen on time.
I think I may have to return my mini because of the battery life. Love everything about the phone, but my battery just drops so fast. And I don’t do any gaming or take videos or anything. It’s all just Messages, Safari, Twitter, and Instagram, along with streaming Apple Music sometimes. However, I’m ALWAYS on my phone, so I guess I should’ve known better. Sucks, cause I do love this phone.
Coming from the 11 Pro. By the end of my run with it, the battery health was down to 87% but I still got a full day of use from it.
With the mini, I dropped from 80% to 30% at work on Friday simply messaging, web browsing, and checking social media while streaming Apple Music for two hours.
So still 30% at the end of the day?
Was your total usage 2 hrs or usage plus 2 hrs streaming?
