iPhone name in iTunes

how do you change the name of your iPhone as it appears in iTunes?

My iPhone is already registered

I believe you just right click on the name, change it to what you want, and sync.

i was hoping it was that simple but when connected to iTunes and i right click the device i do not have the option to rename

Just double-click (like you would to rename a file) the current name and you can change it.
