Once you hit play it will keep playing even if you leave the Remote application. Then you can just switch back to the Remote the next time you need to pause or switch what you are watching.

If remote control allows you select different audio / subtitle tracks on the videos that have them?

I ask because I have alot of anime that has both subtitles and both audio tracks

the remote app for iPhone is fantastic for AppleTV. I love it.

Now if we can get Apple to allow streaming from Apple will allow "location free" operation and let streaming of video and music over wifi.

That would be perfect.
