iphone non jailbroken

my iphone isnt jailbroken and I just took the sim out to do something with another phone and turned on the iphone and it is working with out the sim. Is it supposed to do that?

It will work without the sim...you just can't go online, or obviously make phone calls.

well since the phone is been activated im sure thats why you can do that..dose youtube mail safari ect..work? like a ipodtouch..

i didnt try but probably the sim is back in and safe.
