iPhone not configured to make calls?

Hi guys,

I've not been able to make calls from my Mac using my iPhone at all (Phone, not FaceTime). It just says that my iPhone is not properly configured.

• I explicitly allowed my Mac in the iPhone settings
• Both devices are in the same WiFi
• I'm logged into the same iCloud account on both devices

Shouldn't this like just work?

Ok so on the mac you have to go into Face time> settings and toggle 'Calls from iphone'
This allows you to make calls to a phone from contacts, face time, mail messages etc- by using the phone symbol or Call using iPhone.
I think this is what you want . It doesn't just give you face time to face time and it will use the Phone's cellular plan

I don't use my mac for phoning, but I just enabled it in MacOS FaceTime settings, iPhone phone settings and then opened the MacOS phone app and it appears to be working fine.
