So ive just acquired a 2nd iPhone 3g , and basically I think its locked with O2,
i tried putting in my sim Card and it on the upper left it just didnt show the bars were u generally see the network coverage .
So i went to buy an O2 sim , and then it said on the upper left 'NO SERVICE' ,
so I tried switching the phone on/off , putting the sim again but it still does not work.

Go Ahead, It's not really going to work, just call 1-800-MY-APPLE, They can fix just about anything wrong. Talk to a apple specialist or just make an appointment at your local apple store at the Genius Bar.
