my iphone doesn't show custom ringtones )':

i have an iphone 3G 3.1.2

jailbreaked with black ra1n

i make my ringtones from iTunes 9

everything is right and i sync

then i go to settings>sounds>tones

but custom tones aren't there

please help me

i want to prersonalize my ringtones

It's an iTunes bug

There's a dumb problem with iTunes (I'm currently on iTunes 10, with iOS 4.1, manually managing my ringtones), where if you copy the custom ringtone directly onto the iPhone in iTunes it only shows one ringtone on the handset.

Workaround: copy the custom ringtones to your main iTunes "Ringtones" section, then drag and drop them onto the iPhone.

what do you mean by copy the custom ringtones to your main Itunes ringtones section, how would i drag and drop onto the iphone?? right click and copy the ringtone thats in the main section "ringtones" of itunes then go to my ringtones section under my iphone and paste it???

Drag the ringtones to the iTunes folder first, then drag them to the iPhone. There is some glitch/bug if you try to drag them directly from your desktop to the iPhone.

from what ^^^ that guy said from the other post, shouldnt the song you made into a ringtone be default in an folder in Itunes folder? what dragging would we need to do if its already in an itunes folder after you're done making the ringtones?

nothing seems to work, i first dragged the file into itunes' ringtones section then manually drag it to my iphone ringtones section, that did nothing either. still only one song shows up

Haven't read the thread but I fixed this on my 3G last year by syncing the ringtones over rather than just dragging and dropping....have you tried that?

i have iTunes 10.1.2.17

i was having this problem (2 custom ringtones only), and tried EVERYTHING in this forum, including deauthorising the computer and reauthorising it.

i found after installing the 10.1.2.17 update, i deauthorised, then dragged the ringtone into itunes, and then from itunes onto my iPhone 3GS, it worked...

finally...
