Hey guys I'm going to SIX FLAGS Magic Mountain in Valencia, CA tomorrow for my job's company picnic and they have LOTS of steel coasters, the kind where you're sitting in a suspended chair and your feet dangle.

I usually keep my iPhone 4 in my front pocket, will it be OK? Will it be SAFE is what I'm asking cuz one time on this ride called Deja Vu I had my Razr in my front pocket (this was in 2005) and it just FLEW up and out, like a damn bullet, and the operators went into the fenced-in area and gave it back to me, it was BLASTED to pieces.

Will the same things happen to my precious beloved iPhone 4?

Umm yes, unless its securely fastened to you somehow. Maybe wear cargo pants and have a zip-up pocket to keep your iphone in?

It would probably be safer in back pocket while riding. You're sitting on it so it can't really go anywhere.

I would imagine it would (or could). Wear shorts with snapped or velcro pockets to prevent this. I have a pair of shorts with snap pockets that I wear whenever I go to Cedar Point.

Nah bro, will not sit on it cuz that's gonna just crack it, with the G forces and inertia and what not, making my butt go against the chair. :)

I don't want to hand it off to somebody while I'm riding, cuz I don't trust anybody not even my co workers. What if I get off the ride and I'm like "Where's my phone?" and nobody answers, and then I feel robbed.

i have a pretty bony ass and i've sat down hard on the my iphone at least 3 times a week for almost a year now. no cracking. you're gonna be fine*.

*you may not actually be fine.

I'm just gonna wear my jeans and stuff the iPhone deep in the pocket, i'm sure I'll be fine guys, thanks so much. I will report back tomorrow night to let you know its safe and sound.

Zipper, button, or velcro pants.

OR

A case with a hole to put a wrist strap through so you could hook it to your belt loop.

Why are you not able to make such an assessment on your own. It amazes me how many of you cannot make simple decisions on your own. Can you not think for yourself? Get a mind of your own!

Will 32 gigs be enough for me!?!?

I was at Magic Mountain yesterday, your phone is not safe at all on the more intense rides such as X2. Just keep it in the car, what's the point in bringing it in the park? I left mine in the car when I went.

Hope it doesn't get too hot in the car...

Not a good idea, the whole idea of a rollercoaster is that your butt is supposed to leave the seat, then you get slammed back into it, thats the fun of it.

The cargo pants are probably a better idea. Good Luck.

(Completely Off Topic)

Six Flags, Jackson NJ FTW :)

(Had to)

No way man... The NJ smell would be too much for me... JK... :p But Six Flags Magic Mountain FTW... The classic Viper, the classic Batman, the awesome Goliath, the AMAZING X2, the iconic Colossus...

Jesus who dresses some of you people in the morning ?
How the hell do you get through the day ?
Errrrmmmm I'm going on a roller coaster which throws me upside down .....will stuff fall out of my pocket ??
OF COURSE IT BLOODY WILL !!!!

BUT !!! wait
There is an app which turns your iphone into a special secret thing that sticks to your trousers so it wont fall out

Just download it and you'll be fine

seriously do you just post for the hell of it or are you just dumb ?

At least the Six Flags in New Jersey had these small lockers where you could store your stuff before going spinning at high speed on a roller coaster. That's where you should put your phone.

When I last went to a theme park I took my old Sony Ericsson. Too busy having fun to be checking email or surfing Facebook, and I didn't want the moisture sensors set off by the water rides.

OHHHHHH
Sorry my mistake
Just reread the OP
Its a STEEL coaster
Yep youre fine on that
Its just the wooden ones stuff falls out of your pockets on

Something to with gravity only affects wood not steel
