Don't worry, I've brought electronics on 450-foot vertical drop coasters and been fine. But do watch out for pickpockets, I've had an iPod Touch stolen at an amusement park!

I don't want to hand it off to somebody while I'm riding, cuz I don't trust anybody not even my co workers. What if I get off the ride and I'm like "Where's my phone?" and nobody answers, and then I feel robbed.

Wow, you don't trust your co-workers? In that case, just leave your phone at home or don't go.

When I go anywhere that my expensive phones could be lost or damaged, I simply place my SIM card into another less expensive device and keep it moving. Either that, or like others have said leave the phone at home or in the car.

Jesus who dresses some of you people in the morning ?
How the hell do you get through the day ?
Errrrmmmm I'm going on a roller coaster which throws me upside down .....will stuff fall out of my pocket ??
OF COURSE IT BLOODY WILL !!!!

BUT !!! wait
There is an app which turns your iphone into a special secret thing that sticks to your trousers so it wont fall out

Just download it and you'll be fine

seriously do you just post for the hell of it or are you just dumb ?

Seriously, did you just open up the thread, read all of the responses you obviously are annoyed by for the hell of it or are you just dumb?

Yes; the same thing can happen to your iPhone. I suggest you take it out of your pocket before you go swimming too.

At least the Six Flags in New Jersey had these small lockers where you could store your stuff before going spinning at high speed on a roller coaster. That's where you should put your phone.

That's because the park workers got tired of fetching broken phones and stuff for people too stupid to secure them before they are shaken around while upside down.

if you have to, just keep a hand wrapped around it, in your pocket, when youre going.

but i would leave it at home or car

I was at Six Flags Great Adventure in NJ three days ago. Before each ride they have lockers you can rent for a dollar. As we moved from ride to rode the group I was with would just take turns paying for a locker. That's what I'd advise to do, there was no way I'd bring my iPhone4 on any of those coasters.

is the word "feel" really necessary there?...because i think that literally is being robbed...I mean i guess when one is robbed you also feel robbed, but mentioning you feel robbed seems a bit redundant.:D

Me and a friend went to King's Dominion (VA) a few days ago and kept our iPhones in our pants pockets where we normally keep them and they were fine.

Hmmm...let's see here.... roller coaster, upside down, corkscrews and whatnot... wait....I can't see into the future to say for sure what would happen. Why don't you ride the coaster a bunch of times and put your phone in different places (a pocket one time, hold it in your hand another time, dangling from your wrist the next time and so on and so forth) and report back here with your results?:D

With every new iPhone comes a horde of noobs with an ever increasing amount of posts of ever decreasing quality.

Now it's "My phone fell out of my pocket...will it happen again?"

By iPhone 6, the forum will just be a series of typed guttural noises.

"hruhgh. mruhg. ifern. mmurg. grrg. WTF."

Hey guys I'm going to SIX FLAGS Magic Mountain in Valencia, CA tomorrow for my job's company picnic and they have LOTS of steel coasters, the kind where you're sitting in a suspended chair and your feet dangle.

I usually keep my iPhone 4 in my front pocket, will it be OK? Will it be SAFE is what I'm asking cuz one time on this ride called Deja Vu I had my Razr in my front pocket (this was in 2005) and it just FLEW up and out, like a damn bullet, and the operators went into the fenced-in area and gave it back to me, it was BLASTED to pieces.

Will the same things happen to my precious beloved iPhone 4?

Your iPhone will be ok because it is magical. It defies the laws of physics and stays in pocket better...
