I know people have already asked for help and everything else on this but none of them seem to help me.

Okay so I have an iphone 3g 4.2.1 I went an bought the cheapest gophone possible I then called and activated it but had the sim card in my iphone through the whole process.(process being them activating my phone and switching my old number and funds to the new phone.)But yet my iphone still isn't working it says no service. It also popped up an error message that said activation in process and under it in smaller print said this may take awhile. So I have no clue whats wrong or anything. Please help me someone. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Two options.

#1. Buy another GoPhone. Activate SIM while it is in the GoPhone. After you see the service indicators on the new GoPhone, then you can transfer the SIM to the iPhone.

#2. You can call up GoPhone support. Say that you "broke" your phone. Don't tell them that it was an iPhone or else they'll go through a song & dance about it violates yaddah and is not doable. Save yourself the headache. Tell them the SIM looks fine and you want to transfer it to a "new" GoPhone, (the GoPhone you bought in the first place). The CS rep should help you activate the SIM on the GoPhone. Once you see service indicators on the GoPhone, you can transfer the SIM to your iPhone.

#1 costs more money but requires interference from customer support.
#2 is free. Requires time & patience with GoPhone Customer Support.

Hope that helps. Happy hunting.

So what i did was put my new sim in the cheap pre paid phone and it worked just fine and dandy and so I thought maybe it could just be the sim. So I put my sim into my other gophone I had prevously and it didn't work.
