IPHONE on Orange UK email problems????help

im using Orange UK on my 1.1.4 iphone....i have setup my email and get my incoming mail fine...however everytime i send an email i get the following error "cannot connect to outgoing server smtp.orange.net"...the settings are fine and at the beginning it worked for a few hours....i am on GPRS when sending as i know this outgoing server will not work on wifi...any help??
