iPhone on T-Mobile in the UK - Will web work?

After waiting for the UK tariffs to be released there's no way I'm gonna pay £35 a month for that, so I'm going to import a phone, unlock it, and then get a "web'n'walk" SIM card from T-Mobile. Will the internet definitely work on the phone without any problems?
