I work for Walmart and associates have the option of signing up for Walmart Family Mobile for $30 a month for unlimited talk, text, and LTE data. I understand that any T-Mobile iPhone should work, and I have checked with other WMT associates who have the service and we have come to a conclusion

A) The service is way better than my current Sprint service
B) It actually works, and you enjoy the entire T-Mobile map

They do have iPhone SIMs. What's the best way to buy an iPhone and sell this Sprint one?

To be honest, the Sprint iPhone isn't going to get a whole lot. But just sell that model on eBay or Swappa and make sure you buy an iPhone with AWS bands for T-Mobile.

What kind of iphone is it? You can walk in to Gamestop and walk out with cash, one of the easiest methods I know of.

If you want Edge data speeds than sure it's fine. That $30 monthly plan includes only 1 GB of decent data speeds and then it's throttled to edge speeds. No thanks. I'm past 2009 speeds.

With Sprint you'll get 2002 speeds, trust me it's a better world and the grass is greener.

Then why doesn't my phone work the Family Mobile people act like idiots can't get the phone to work and refuse to honor the Warrantly Say it is not a Walmart Phone even though it is and the Customer service person tells me that even though the person at Walmart Setup the phone incorrectly put in the wtong Sim Card causing the Phone to be registered as a not Walmart Phone. Caution do not buy a Walmart Family Phone they have a class action Lawsuit because they say they have unlimited Talk Text and internet half way through the month they slow down so much that they wont work. Walmart service manager informed me even though the person who set it up promised as long as you pwn the phone I will help you with whatever you need except paying the bill. At the 1st sign of trouble Walamart rep handed the phone back and said our policy is once we setup we will not touch the phone. We donot do tech support. FamilyMoblile is not T-mobile and they lock the phone so that even though you own it you cannot take the phone elsewear. The law states they must unlock as the FFC has ruled. Family Mobile if you research has 1 star for customer service as most say that is because they can't give less than 1. Pissed off consumer has 299 complaints and rising. Corporate walmart at at 1800walmart refused to help. Familymobile refuses to register with the Better business burea they are the worst of the worst. Not worth a plugged a nickel let alone $29 a month.

I can feel your pain but when it at least comes to the unlocking of a phone the company can stipulate it's own rules. T Mobile says phone paid off and on network 40 days, Sprint 50 days, Straight Talk 1 year, etc. I also have experienced bad customer service with Straight Talk but I figure I get what I pay for. Conversely when I call t Mobile I find their CS to be exemplary.

Problem with that is that since the Walmart Phone has you locked for 40 days and the phone fails to work for the full 40 days due to their service and they jerk you around telling you stupid tnings like if you don't use it for 3 days it will heal and refuse to honor the warranty you are stuck You have 2 options set your phone on a shelf for 40 days and they will unlock the phone so you can get them to unlock it. Then go to a new carrier. In my case they say they can't unlock the phone. Best option never buy a locked phone then if your service provider is unbearable you can go to a new provider and not have to buy a new phone. Locking phones should be outlawed if Walmart could truly provide unlimited Talk Text Internet for $29 I and other customers would stay loyal customers forever and they wouldn't need to lock phones to keep the customers captive. T-mobile is outstanding for customer service right in the store. Walmart has a no in store customer service policy if I knew that I never would have bought a Walmart Family Phone their customer service on line phone seems to be if they run you around keep you on the phone for hours and hear them laughing in the background he said unlock phone then disconnect. Like I said they have a class action lawsuit for basically false advertising suit says they promise to deliver unlimited everything and failed to warn customers they can't deliver. Many people cannot afford to go the 45 days like you said 45 days continuous service to get your phone unlocked. This means after your phone fails due to Walmart after 30 days of having the phone fail you have to buy 30 more days then wait 15 with no phone service before they unlock. Then you can take your phone to another provider. Note your one year warranty on the locked phone is with Walmart Family Mobile they will not honor that warranty in my experience. I've gone pat the 35 days and the FCC due to complaints ruled they must unlock but they wont out over $100 dollars trying to get phone to work and no one at Walmart Family Mobile cares. Hope this message helps soemone not to get ripped off.
