G'day all,

My iPhone 6 will only charge when switched off. This seems to indicate that the flash card socket is clean or perhaps it would not charge at all. I completed a full backup and factory reset but the problem persists. When I first plug in the flash cord, if the iPhone is switched on, I a get a brief mil-second view of the battery image with green fill to show battery storage. That falls off and I then get "This accessory may not be supported" and the phone does not charge.

iOS ver is 11.4.1

Suggestion will be greatly appreciated. I have run the Pro version of Tenorshare Reiboot to no effect whatsoever. I think I have done my money there.

Have you tried using different a different charging cable or power source? That would help to narrow down the potential issue.

Thank you for your replies. I changed the charger and flash cord for a known good one and get the same result. In short my partners flash cord and charger works fine on her iphone but pulling the flash cord from her iphone and plugging into mine gets "This accessory may not be supported" on my iphone. Any more ideas, please?

Check the Lightning port for any dust or debris. If it appears clean, the port itself likely damaged. Your options after that will likely be to get it serviced, replaced, or upgraded.
