Obviously the huge up-side of the MFI Gaming Controller idea is that we can have dedicated controllers with buttons to use with our iDevices. The downside though is that you have to carry another gadget around with you. Excuse my question if it's a stupid one, but here it is:
What if someone developed an app for the iPhone that let you use an iPhone or an iPod Touch as a gaming controller for other iOS devices? I know this has been done in limited capacity before, but this new app could be programmed with the MFI specs, then any app that supports MFI controllers would be compatible with the app.
Would that even be possible? Or worth doing? Discuss.
