iPhone orders must be shipped to your AT&T billing address???

really? this ruins my plan! im going to be on vacation at my parents house, and they want to ship it to me! and I won't be there! why?!?!

I preordered through AT&T and had no problem shipping to a different address.
Bummer
 
AT&T is pulling the same crap on me!, and its not my address to change...
 
Something else you can try: AFTER you place the order, go into your Order Status, pull up the order, and change the shipping address. The Apple Store web site let me do this without any complaints.

It remains to be seen, of course, if they will honor this change. But I've got printouts of everything just in case.

so you have actually completed an order and changed the shipping add. yourself? or just making a suggestion
 
Darn, I was planning to pick a different address so I could get it delivered on the 24th at my hotel. Is ATT offering same day delivery for the 24th?
 
well I was able to change the shipping address after I made my order like the previous user said.. hopefully it worked
 
Well I've made it all the way to the end at ATT and the won't let me change my shipping address, and Apple won't either. I no longer live at my billing address, so now I'm concerned. I guess I'll have to do an in-store pickup, but I'm not seeing an option for that on the ATT site. Changing my address seems scary too =\ Ughhhhh. Sitting at waiting screens for 1 hour to come up with these dumb issues is frustrating.
 
yeah I'm onto ordering a 2nd phone for my gf's line and its not going through at all - I was lucky to get mine in as soon as the site went up
 
If I change my billing address with at&t, will it be a problem that it does not match the billing address on my credit card?

No. I just got off the phone with an AT&T customer service rep (Premiere Business acct) and they said it's not a problem. When THEY take orders the addresses have to match, when you place an order online it does not. Two different systems.
