iPhone OS update ?

I take it you mean major update? Like the last few years, they usually preview the new version in March and ship it in June. So, that’s what I expect for 4.0.

My guess

Apple will release a update when everybody stops asking every damn day. So my guess it will be a while.
 
When they can figure out some other cool stuff to add that people will inevitably end up complaining about and saying it wasn't enough...

You mean like:

  • Bluetooth files
  • Themes/Profiles
  • full mp3's and other file extensions as ringtones
  • custom sms alert tones
  • decent megapixel camera with flash

They all sound really cool and errrr in any other phone. 😕

Don't get me wrong Apple have made brilliant innovations and you cant have it all but some of the things left out by Apple are simple.

People complain for a reason!
 
Okay, let's look at history. iPhone not iPod Touch.

Version 1.1.4 - Final version released in March 2008. No new firmware until version 2.0 in July 2008.

Version 2.2.1 - Final version released in January 2009. No new firmware until version 3.0 in June 2009.

Version 3.1.2 - Could this be the final version until 4.0 in the Summer of 2010??
