Does anyone know when the iphone will be available in the UK??

O2 will provide for the UK.

The announcement should be made any day now. I think there is some big electronics fair in Germany where the info will be officially released.

Well it works now with GSM carriers, you just have to pay roaming. Japan has a nonstandard cell network so Apple will have to work out a deal with a carrier there if they plan to release it in Japan.
