Well after a long time enjoying this thread I thought it was time to post my 5 favorite pics taken with my iPhone. 1st one is the view from the balcony of our beach apartment in Punta Leona Beach (Puntarenas, Costa Rica) 2nd one is a case of my absolutely favorite beer that I use as wallpaper 3rd one is an old (and dead) 3.5" dissasembled HD I spent a few minutes cracking open the 4th one is my setup and the last and 5th one is a weird plane I saw the other day at a local airport

Costa Rica and the airplane

Victor - My wife and I went to Costa Rica on our honeymoon. We LOVE Costa Rica and have spent considerable time in Puntarenas. Nice view.

That "weird plane" is a home-built, Experimental class airplane. I've flown one very similar made by Velocity Aircraft (www.velocityaircraft.com). They are a LOT of fun and very safe (even though they are classified as "experimental" and are home-built).

Enjoy Costa Rica every time you go down!

That airplane is apparently a "Gyroflug SC-01 Speed Canard". I googled the registration number (TI-AYW).

Im glad you enjoyed Costa Rica! is a beautiful country indeed. I (luckily) do enjoy it 24/7 as I live here

I think that hangar is actually owned by my family and although we have only two planes there we rent it to a lot of other plane enthusiasts and companies. I believe there is also a stunt plane in there from some other company, it has some wierd stuf that Im not really into but mi dad and uncle are One day I was in the backyard of my house when I heard a plane flying to low, I checked it and it was that little weird thing, it was flying extremely fast, really fast. I was told it went something like 200 knots per hour and yet only consume about a gallon of gas per hour
