iPhone Pre-Order Date

I preordered the 4 for instore pick up on my PC with no issues. Got there about 5:30 as I remember and was in the first batch of 10 customers. It was a fun experience, but if I order the new one I think I'll get it delivered at work. UPS come to our place everyday, so I reckon I might get the guy to deliver a bit early in the day if I sweet talk him.
Okay.....so it'll be announced Sept 12, @11:58 pm...eastern....Preorders open @ 11:59.....Site shuts down @ 12:00 am Sept 13...too bad if you didn't get your preorder....as you shoulda got it early!
And it arrives at your door at 8am that day because an employee shipped it out early.
I like pre-ordering. I like the system errors, endless loops, failed attempts, etc. I turn it into a game and make it fun and part of the experience.
Ha! I'm not that bad. Although it does help I get out of work at 3:00pm. Ill be leaving early the 12th and I'll just have to wait until after my appointment on the 21st to play with my new iPhone.
Has anybody had any experience with pre ordering from best buy? Will they ship to home? Or only stores?
I agree with the other guys about the apple store app. On the day pre-orders went live for the iPhone 4, I tried for a solid hour trying to pre-order on their website, then tried going to the apple store to pre-order and their systems were screwed too. The app let me do it on the first try.
sure beats the hell out of a night camping for 10 hours
I actually prefer the camping thing. Had a awesome time all 3 times I camped. Been pre-ordering since iPhone 4 and while it's more convenient, it's sure as hell not as much fun.

I believe preorders for the for 4S as I remember it were on the same day as the announcement. I remember frantically been at work trying to order the phone so there was no delay between the announcement and the ability to preorder it was on the same day last year
