If you buy from Apple they will charge whatever card you give them. You can specify a different shipping address when you check out.

Never been an AT&T customer, so I can't say how that would work but I have to assume it would be the same way as buying from Apple.

I have a question too ... I don't plan on upgrading with stupid next or renewing any contract , just want to pay for the phone retail .... I can't pre order online or can I ?

I think I'm going to have to go to my local Apple Store for this one.

    That's my question

Can I just ship it to my house instead of my dad's office

I'm in the same boat. I tried to upgrade to a 6+ just to test how it would work, and it wasn't an option. Beware.

They will charge whatever credit card you have n file with Apple ID.

When you do the pre-order it will only let you ship it to the Account's holders billing address. If you want to change the Address you have to call Apple and have them change it over the phone. Make sure you do this before the pre-order goes through otherwise changing the Address will affect the date when your phone is being delivered.

I'm in the same boat. I want to buy my phone outright for Verizon, but I have never done this before so I'm not sure. I don't remember ever seeing an option to buy it outright, I guess we will find out next month.

I'm looking to order the new 6s+ as a pre order. I have no apple devices and who knows if I have an apple id. I use android on phone /tablet and windows /Ubuntu on pc

What's the most prepared I can be in terms of preordering in terms of setting up anything in advance. My assumption for now is just to order on the Apple store online one orders open at a local 8am ish in UK? I'll be ordering sim free

    Many thanks.

I also plan on purchasing the iPhone outright. When selecting the Verizon model either in store or online you will have the options for either Edge payments or paying out full price signing up for a new contract (Verizon's new 2015 plans). I plan on pre-ordering the T-Mobile unlocked online and simply place my current activated Verizon sim into the iPhone (2015 edition). If I am able to purchase the Verizon iPhone (2015 edition) in store unlocked while retaining my current plan, then that is my plan B.

Been to VZW.com in a while? All of their layouts and purchasing options have changed. You can even change all of the phone prices to display as "Full Retail Price" instead of "Monthly Device Payment." My guess is that they, as always, want to get as many iPhone pre-orders as possible, so they'll have it worked out. We'll see.

I've bought my phone outright every year from Verizon since the iphone 5. its no issue at all. I've just found it easier to buy directly from Verizon rather than going through apple.

If you buy it outright from verizon does it make you sign in with your verizon account info? My problem is I have a concession account with verizon and I don't have an upgrade until November, and my account is not like a regular customers account. As long as I can purchase it without entering any info from my account it should work for me. I just want to select the phone I want, give them my shipping address, pay retail price, and be on my way.

Unfortunately, online Verizon will force you to either replace your current device with a new plan or become a new customer with a new plan. You will have to enter your account on Verizon's website. Currently the only way to give them your shipping info, pay retail price and be on your way is through Apple.com. Apple currently offers the unlocked T-Mobile iPhone that will work fully with your Verizon sim card or the Sim Free option. The Sim Free option, as history has show is not available until months after release. It is unknown if Apple will Place their Verizon iPhone as unlocked alongside T-Mobile & Sim Free since Verizon removed two year contract but retaining VZ Edge plan.

Apple stores have been selling the Verizon IPhone *unlocked* for s while. I purchased my last 6 plus through a local Apple Store a few days after launch. A few days later, I purchased a Verizon 6 (4.7") through the Apple site and was also unlocked.
    I have AT&T by the way .....
Having said that, I'm assuming that this will hold true for the 6S.

When I bought my T-Mobile model on launch day, I just gave them my card and that was it. No plan, no paperwork. There were people around me in line who were scalping, and many of them were buying Verizon models and buying them outright. No paperwork or anything for them either. They just handed them the cold hard cash, took the phones out, and gave them to the "ringleader" of the operation.

All I did was ask for the phone I wanted, gave them my CC and out I went. 5 mins
Tops. No questions asked and no hassle.
Note, I only went with the Verizon version as this was discussed back in September of 2015 that it came factory unlocked.

I ordered iPhone5S from Apple on AT&T 2-year contract. I don't know if it was a restriction from Apple or AT&T, they wouldn't let me change the shipping address. It was probably AT&T.

They did not activate the iPhone or ask you for a new plan? My current plan next year and I plan on purchasing full price using my current VZ sim.
