So my mom currently has an iPhone 4 and can upgrade in July. She is planning on getting the iPhone 6, but if she waits until September, will the price go down to $100 when the iPhone 6S comes out in theory?

I hope you're right, but I doubt it. I'm ready for a redesigned 7. :D

All I want is for the protruding camera to go away lol. Im not sure if we can expect a full redesign, however it will be interesting to see what Apple does this year.

There will be no iPhone 6s.

Sooner or later they'll change the name like they did with the iPad and this could be the first year since I don't find iPhone 6S Plus to be a cool name for a product

Anyway the answer is yes, $100 price drop in September

:apple: has never redesigned a product vastly after a year (correct me if I'm wrong). The iPhone 6 design is excellent, and is enough to be kept for at least 2 years.

iPad Air to Air 2 made for a chassis redesign/refinement 2 years in a row. Of course, before that they used the same chassis for 3 iPad generations.

It wasn't really, it was just thinner. Kept the rounded edges on the back, kept the chamfer, and placement of buttons and whatnot. It's close enough, but I wouldn't say it's a redesign.
