I appreciate this thread because I've spend the past month going back and forth from the 13 Pro to the 13 Pro Max. In the end, I ended up selling both of them and buying an 11 Pro Max. It just works better for me. The battery life and screen are the "goldilocks" among the three phones, and the rounded edges are 1000x time more comfortable to hold. I also ended up buying a 13 Mini for the gym/running or when I know I'll be going out and don't need the larger screen for maps/nav/e-mails, etc.

I just ordered a 13 Pro and will give it a try. Since I know the 13 Pro Max will be pretty similar to my Xs Max, just little larger, I should be able tell if I like it or not pretty quickly. And you are right, being able to return it and get the other model does take a lot of the stress away.

How’s the 13 Pro working out for you?

I went from the X to the Xs to the 11 Pro to the 12 Pro because I always thought the Max iPhones were way too large but with the 13 Pro Max I don't know why I didn't use the Max phones beginning in 2018. The battery life is so outstanding.

I have the 13 Pro Max and I could never go back. I've had the iPhone 12 for a couple of months while waiting for the 12 Pro Max to come out, and it was so cramped, I was going crazy. I just miss the screen real estate on non-Max models.

In the meanwhile I received the 13 Pro and I sent back the 12 Pro Max. After I stopped thinking about the weight and size, I started to really like the Pro Max as well which then it never felt "too" big or heavy. At the end I would be happy with the Max too but I will stay with the Pro just for general convenience since the Pro Max has for me no really "added value" over the Pro. I do not think that the screen is "too" small. And I'm very glad I switched from the Pro Max to the Pro, because compared to the 13 normal, I just couldn't put up with the weight of the Pro. But now I have got used to it and I don't think about it anymore.

Well, after setting it up and playing with it for a couple of days I found it was great phone and a very nice size. But after having Max and Plus phones for so many years I found myself missing the extra screen real estate. I ended up returning it and just ordered a Pro Max a couple of hours ago. If I had never used the big phones I'm sure I would have loved using the 13 for the next few years but just couldn't get it out of my head that I was missing out by not having the Max. The new phone should be here tomorrow. If I would have kept it I'm sure I would have grown accustomed to it quickly but for an extra $100 I figured I might as well get what I really wanted.
