Curious if anyone has opted for the standard line of phones, and compensating for the camera capabilities with a 'real' camera.

Stopped by the Apple store today, and the standard line feels so good, and looks fantastic with the matte back. It really looks much more premium than previous years. and it's no slouch either, from a feature set standpoint.

And recently, Nikon released the Zf, which no doubt will be great fun. Initial Preview here: https://www.dpreview.com/reviews/nikon-zf-full-frame-mirrorless-camera-review

Have you made the decision to go the other way, and keep the photography to a separate device? Want to hear your thoughts.

Of course if money were no object, get both Pro + Camera, but let's make this interesting and consider budget is a thing, and one must choose.

I expect my 15Pro (plus Fjorden case) and that very Zf (with FtZ adapter) to replace my X100V, D750, and dreams of a Q3 Monochrom…

Still holding onto my D750 and older iPhone, I can't see a reason to upgrade either though I love that Zf aesthetic. Maybe time to spend my iPhone budget on a 24-70 2.8 (currently have the 70-200 2.8, 50 1.4, and 24-120 4).

I have the 13pro, and a Canon R7. I tried a regular 13, and swapped it for the Pro. The R7 is terrific for wildlife and sports. The 13pro is with me at all times. It is good for family related pics. (although the R7 does a better job for those as well)

I’m keeping my D700 and D850… and all of my lenses. But the Zf will be my runabout with a 28-105. We’ll see. I’m the kind of fool who thinks his experiments will work despite a lifetime batting average of zero for n.
