No

when was the last time apple gave you the option to pick a color on their products?

Back during the G3 iMac days (10 years ago)

no! apple doesn't let you customize anything.

I think Jobs prescribes to Henry Ford's idea of choice
"Any customer can have a car painted any color that he wants so long as it is black"

:p

Actully I was thinking more of interchangeable colors. Get a set of the plates (the bezel) and just plop them on.

The plates could even ship with the phone or sepreate for $9.99 or something

It just doesn't feel like Apple and wouldn't give them that much revenue, thus it will not happen.

Have you seen the prototype pictures? Based on this thread, I'd say no.

There is no plastic. It's aluminum and glass (maybe ceramic for the back cover). Also, the metal frame is part of the chassis, it's not removable.

That being said, there will be case manufactures that will sell colored covers for the frame.
