Other iPhone Purchase - Apple ID

Apple has launched its online store in India. I plan on ordering an iPhone from Apple Online store.

If I sign-in with my apple ID before checkout, the purchase will/should be visible under my account. However I am buying the iPhone for a family member and it will be setup/used under a different Apple ID than the one which is used to order the iPhone.

Will the iPhone be registered against the Apple ID used for ordering? Will it have to be reset before setting up with the apple ID of my family member? I will be purchasing(paying with my card) and it is shipping to my address.

The phone won't be already setup under your Apple ID. When your family member first sets it up, it will prompt them to enter their Apple ID.
