Good day everyone,

I'm new user of the forum. I'm currently with Rogers Canada network. I was about to purchase a new Ipod (16GB) touch when it was launched to replace my old Ipod mini. However, I need to replace my cell phone too. Is the Iphone (8GB) a good compromise. I will use the Iphone as an Ipod + a regular cell phone (I don't have a "Blackberry" type of plan). Should I get from Rogers a internet plan for browsing the web or should I rely on WiFi networks... (I don't want astronomical phone bills).

PS: sorry for my English as I am French Canadian...

Your English is a lot better than my French. Honestly, man, since this would require an unlock hack and you wouldn't get full service, I'd just wait until the iPhone is offered in Canada or get the iPod touch. Just because you pay to unlock your iPhone or get it unlocked for free does not mean Apple won't find a way to lock it again; it's just going to be an ongoing hassle.
