I was wondering what is the iPhone missing to be a mac tablet?
just wanted to hear your opinion.
ability to run any program
better pen-based input
What do you think?
The ability to load apps, for one...
We dont know if it can or can't
do you think the iPhone will be able to:
mail/web browsing/music/photos/video iChat/maybe a quick game?/dashboard?
sorta like a secondary computer.
mail - yes
web browsing - yes
music - yes
photos - yes
video iChat - probably not the first version but eventually
maybe a quick game? - yes
dashboard - maybe
Yeah - but a very small screened underpowered one.
The use of inductive coils for charging and syncing could be implamented in a mactablet to allow for a totally enclosed case.
Not saying this would be the most practical, but having no openings would allow for a sleek design, although the lack of CD/DVD drive, USB, FireWire ports etc. would def. be a turn off. But a contact less docking station would be amazing...
hmm... what if apple put a mini VGA or mini DVI port and one usb port?
or even ebtter a HDMI and make it the first HD Ready phone with HDMI!
And they would have to [mostlikely] add a pen to use as a tablet.
If the iPhone was about 5 times bigger, allowed use of a stylus pen and allowed you to install any application, then it would be a mac tablet.
I think one thing this is missing which is a key feature that all laptops cellphone and mactablet will have is a removable battery.
The iPhone is $500! I dont think that its a worth-less good, I want an iPhone when i get a phone or maybe Ill get the black-jack instead.
I purchased an iPhone because it includes the best wide screen iPod, Internet (google maps, email) with one phone.
