Hello,
I am buying an Iphone and Ipod touch this week and need some informations.
Sorry for the silly questiosn but i am new to the world of Apple so not sure how thsi devices work.
Will the iphone and ipod touch be able to play youtube videos like on a regualr pc?
Because i saw few posts on other forums saying that you have to first download the youtube video to a pc then change the format so that it will play on iphone/ipod, any truth to this?

depends.

The iPod Touch and iPhone streams YouTube videos, but there is no "save" feature.

If you actually want the videos saved then yes you will have to download and convert
:)

There is a YouTube app, so yes, you can play YouTube videos directly from the iPhone or iPod Touch.

No, movie conversion is only required if you have videos stored locally on your computer that aren't compatible with the iPhone. For those there are apps which allow you to make the conversion pretty easily. But it's not required for YouTube.

Hi guys and thax for the help=)
Im still not sure if to get the ipod touch or the iphone 3G.
The thing is with the current provvider i am atm i don`t have the option to buy the iphone 3G i have to go with rogers wireless.
The phone i use atm is a black berry pearl , nothing special but i honestly don`t use my phone very often.
Maybe i should just get an ipod touch instead, so here comes few more questions=):

The ipod touch has the exact same screen resolution has the iphone correct?
Also since i have a wireless router at my house and ipod touch has wifi built in this means i will be able to browse the netmuch fater ont he ipod touch correct?

PS one more thing=) Does the iphone 3G also have wifi? Cause this might change things around for me.

The iPhone and iPod touch are essentially the same things, except the iPhone has cell service, bluetooth, camera, speakers, microphone.

For a decent comparison:

And you should read up on the two on Apple's website. It will definitely help you out.
