Tim,
I mentioned this to you via email but looking back I think it's worthy of posting on the boards as it might spark the attention of others.
Your Web app happens to be useful not just for users who listen to radio. It's also a tool that can be used freely by people who work in and around the music industry (artists, labels, etc)
Most of the radio stations that your web app tracks happen to be BDS radio stations tracked by Nielson Soundscan and Mediabase. To everyone in the music industry, from record labels, to artists, being able to track radio play in real time means a ton! especially since your web app lets the user do it mobile and regardless of whether you are in range of actually being able to listen to the frequency.
Sure, Neilson Soundscan allows pay per reporting as a payed service to record labels and artists, but their prices are very steep and non mobile.
Obviously this is an invaluable tool and especially for independent artists and record labels that can not afford or have access to Nielson Soundscan reports on a regular basis. Many times an indie artist or label will be told by radio stations that they are receiving airplay without any means to verify it. Your web app just solved that problem, now if it could someone how be brought to attention 🙂
