I went to the apple store and they tried offering me a replacement but some error kept coming up which required them to send my phone to Apple. Now, I just realized I gave them my wrong email address- put an extra letter in it and went online to check for a receipt in my email and it just hit me what had happened.I have already given them my iPhone and have no receipt showing that either. Any advice would be appreciated.

Go back to the store and have them correct your email address.
