Hi all, I have an iPhone 5s and it has developed a problem where it resets itself randomly. Sometimes I will be using the Internet and it will suddenly get a blue screen then go into reset where I get the white Apple screen then it will go back to normal. It has also got another issue possibly connected to this in that while it is on charge during the night it goes into some kind of 'stuck reset' mode. I'll wake up and press the home button to check the time and the phone is lifeless. I have to hold the power and home buttons together for ages and then I'll get the above mentioned white screen and then it's normal again. It will always be fully charged when I do switch it on. When this problem first developed I worked out that it seemed to be linked to auto retrieval of emails during the night while I was asleep. I turned off auto retrieval and auto update of apps etc and this seemed to fix the issue of the phone going dead overnight, but now a few months later the problem has returned. I can't rely on my phone as an alarm clock and have to hope I wake in the night to pee so I can reset it! I've tried doing a hard reset, removing everything and running it as a new phone but as soon as I use the internet again the problem gradually returns. Help please!

Yes I've done this twice, it seems to help for a little while then the problem comes back.

Was the phone dropped or gotten wet? The resetting indicates a hardware problem - if you haven't dropped it or got it wet, take it in and have it looked at.

It's never been dropped or got wet, as far as I remember it seemed to come after one of the recent iOS updates. I think you are right though, I'm going to have to send it in for repair. I was just hoping it was an issue others had encountered and maybe had a solution for. Such is life :) thanks for replying though.
