I went out last night for dinner, came home, played around with my iphone for a little, plugged it in and went to bed. I woke up this morning and the phone was off and wouldnt turn on. I plugged it into my iMac, and to my MB just now, and it says that I have to restore the phone. So I do that, on both machines, and afterwards, I get the following message:

"The iPhone could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (1002)."

Anyone have any suggestions? Thank you.

I tried the suggestions on that site, but nothing seems to work. I keep getting that same error. Im trying to get it into DFU mode, but I seem to be having trouble doing that also. Im been fooling around with it for about 3 hours now, and I am left scratching my head. I dont want to take it to the Vodafone store here because they are going to ship it away, and I will be without a phone for a few weeks.

Wow, please change your signature.

Umm, sorry, if that KB article doesn't help you, then I'm afraid I'm outta ideas.
