iPhone Retina Apps on iPad 3 - Horrah!

Not seen anyone mention this but I can confirm the iPad 3rd Gen uses the retina iPhone apps as opposed to the clunky old ones.

Nice little bonus I think! 🙂

Agreed, but for the ones that don't it's nice having the higher res upscaled.

Yes too right, no reason whatsoever they haven't done this.

So doesn't this mean they are still 2x when scaled up?

Because at 1x the iPhone display will be 640x960. To fill the screen of iPad it will still have to pixel double.
