Think of it as a copper color, not pink. It's not pink... It's not just for girls, it's just a color. It will NOT make you look feminine, or less of a man, it is just a different color gold.
It is pink. Almost to the extent that Apple should get done under trade description act! Nothing like rose gold anywhere else. Here is the matching Apple Watch - in real life a sickly, baby pink!

So don't buy it. What's the point of complaining about it if you aren't going to own it?
I already ordered it. On Apple website it looked more bronze. Because it is called rose gold I assumed it wold be just that ... not pink.

Thread Predictor:

1) it's pink!
2) no it's not!
3) it's sort of pink but manly pink
4) it's the same color as the dock
5) no it's not!
6) it depends on the lighting
7) your pictures are wrong
8) the lighting is accurate
9) no it's not!
10) it's the same shade as Apple watch
11) no it's not! It's pinker!
12) it was pink on the late show!
13) no it wasn't!
14) A man has to be gay to get a pink phone!
15) no he doesn't!
16) repeat steps 1-15, increasing incrementally in tone and emotion

From what I've seen online, it looks like a light/soft pink. I ordered rose gold. If I don't like it, I'll
just use a case that's not see-thru. I'm sure I'll be okay with it, as I'm not so picky with phone color.
There should be a new thread on the 25th titled 'Do you like your rose gold iPhone'.

Rose gold jewelry has been around forever...this is not a new concept, and Apple didn't make up the name "rose gold". Has no one been in a jewelry store in the last decade or two?

Have you even seen the phone in person? If not, then how do you know whether or not you will like it? Why not stop worrying about it for now?

The problem is that the real rose gold looks nothing like the baby pink of this phone.

That's why I went to the Apple store to see the watch which allegedly is the same colour. I wanted to see the dock but they refused to show it to me. They had the boxes but no samples.

It's pink. Whether or not you want a pink phone is completely your decision, I'm not saying you shouldn't as if you like it then that's fantastic! But do not say that it isn't pink, as you may confuse others here.

You can give it any shiny cool name you want - deep down, it's still freaking pink. Get it if you like it (male or female). Just don't try and delude yourself into thinking it's "copper" or NOT PINK because, it's pink.

You know why? This whole release is about the ASIAN market. Beta fish, gold/pink phones. Asians are going to eat it up!

The arguments that are inciting emotion in this discussion are the extremists. As Captain Kirk once said, "reality is somewhere in the middle."

Traditionally, colors do have gender associations. Knitting baby clothes in blue and pink are simply a part of the culture.

There are not many sports teams out there that have pink jerseys. Sports began as a historically male profession. That's simply a fact.

These are the facts. But the other side is that it doesn't mean a male shouldn't possess anything of a pink color.

So yes, colors do have some sort of gender association, at the very least historically and traditionally. If you deny this, you're just not interested in fact.

Lots of people fail to realize Pink was THE male color long ago and blue was the female color. A pretty good read here if you have 5 minutes. - http://www.npr.org/2014/04/01/297159948/girls-are-taught-to-think-pink-but-that-wasnt-always-so

I honestly can't wait until this bleeping color ships and people have it in their hands, so people will finally be quiet about this color. Holy cannoli.

Agreed. Don't care how people want to characterize this. It's pink. Perhaps a gold-ish hue of pink, but there's no denying that it's pink. My better half, who couldn't care less about new Apple product announcements walked into an Apple store with me, saw the new "rose gold" Apple Watch, and literally said to me, "oh look, they have a pink Apple Watch now." Now obviously this just reflects the opinion of one pair of eyes (well two including mine), but if we put all semantics aside, Apple's rose gold is pink.
