Some talk about iPhone running Android system is this possible? And what is the benefit?

Maybe if you jailbreak it you could get android on there?

Android has good hardware on phones. I think a lot of people say that they would get an android phone if it ran iOS. So I’m not sure what the point would be.

It has been done. Not for any average user. Hardware changes needed too. Not sure if it is portable. And probably more unreliable than some of the Custom Roms I ran on Android phones.

Nah. Apple would never give the user that much choice or control over their device because Apple know what's best for everyone and a lot of Apple fans just fine with that. Why make decisions for yourself when someone else can do it for you? It's so much easier.

That's a good point. Way too much work on the Android end to make the phone acceptable to use. Widgets, roms, app launchers, all a bunch of nonsense to get to the same result. It's definitely easier to use a phone that just works out of the box and has the best performance, security, privacy, ecosystem, and support.

It’s only a phone. I’m not going to loose my **** because Apple is not letting me put an app where I want it on my screen. I don’t have control issues lol

I guess some people want all of that. I didn’t mind widgets when I had an android phone but I never bothered with roms and launchers.

Anyhow I prefer I phone that fits in with my life and the iPhone does that.

silly idea... but 'd like the other way around - running ios on flagship xiaomis would be the bomb.
