We have an app where ipad supports all the orientation and iphone views are set for portrait where few views in iphone do support landscape. Iam not sure this acceptable with Apple rejection criteria

I've not heard of anyone ever being rejected for supporting all 4 orientations... Personally, if I support portrait one way, I support it the other way as well, and do the same with landscape.

They used to reject for not having what you just described, if you support landscape left, you should support landscape right, they actually did reject for that, BUT, there were some apps who sneaked through the reviews with only 1 orientation (mainly Adobe/FLEX apps), since then I never noticed anything like this anymore.
