How many screen pages do you use with your iPhone?

Personally, for me, I refuse to go over 3 pages. My rationale behind this is that the first page can hold all the standard Apple apps the iPhone came with, the second page is full of only games, the third page contains all my utility apps.

I've found that going beyond 3 pages of apps alerts me to a few things:

1. i have a lot of useless apps that i don't even use on my phone
2. because of all these extra pages of apps, my phone takes longer to boot/backup
3. i spend too much money and could be putting that cash towards something more valuable such as a simple savings account

what about you?

I have 3 "real" pages and then a 4th "temp page" where I'm putting new things to try them out and odd little programs that I might use from time to time, but not often.

So 90% of the time I'm using the first 3 pages, and only go to page 4 every other day or so.

So I voted for 4, but really I'm mostly using 3.

Practically the same as Small Car. The thing I hate the most is when you try to shift apps across a whole filled page and it thinks you want it that page, it'll move the last app across to the next page, and then the last app on the last page will move to the next page.....

Seven, but they're not all full. I categorise my apps (yes, Geek Pride):
  1. Most used apps
  2. Most used apps (overflow!)
  3. Video, Remote Control, CCTV, etc.
  4. Music
  5. Location based information
  6. Less used apps (tucked away)
  7. Games

Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5F136 Safari/525.20)

I actually use 4 pages. The first is for the Apps that came with the iPhone and the remote app, the second is for utility and news/weather type apps, the third is where I put my apps for my painfully expensive hobby, and the forth is for games.

I have 6, but only counted 5.

Page 1 is the default apps + a webclip to my bank + a speed-dialer.

Page 2-5 are alphabetical (makes finding the app I want easier.)

Page 6 is stuff that I am currently developing.

I voted for 4. That said, though, none of the pages are full; in fact, my first page isn't even half full, and neither is one of the other pages. I'm waiting for the push update to come (or for an announcement saying it will be awhile), and then I will rejailbreak my phone, and be back to where I want to be: 1 page, half-full.

so....you should have voted 6 because you use 6. not a complicated poll, but you managed to make it one i guess.

I have 4 pages, but none are full... i don't like the way full pages look, lol.
1. most used apps (wikipanion, aim, ical, iprocrastinate, weather, calc, camera, photos, facebook, tip, settings)
2. games (dizzybee, deblob, ikanoid, tris, scrabble, solitare, knots)
3. entertainment (movies, ipod, iflix, youtube, shazam, itunes, appstore)
4. apps i dont use too often (contacts, stocks, airshareing, maps, clocks, notes, idoodle, bible-only because of my silly religion class)

In theory, but since page 6 is wiped multiple times a week I don't think it merits being counted. Had the question "what the most pages you ever had" I would have voted six.

Answering the question I use 2 screens.

The first screen, with only two rows, contains the communications and work bits - SMS, calendar, maps, Things app, etc. The second screen uses three rows and has a couple of games and regularly used apps like Settings, an RSS reader, Photos, etc.

Finally there's the screen of apps I don't want, but can't delete, the two store apps, Notes, Stocks, Weather and YouTube.

I actually think that's too much and keep wondering if there's a few apps I can sacrifice to get it down to one used screen. I can't imagine how people who have filled up their screens cope without categories or some sort of proper launching system.

dude, seriously? you're debating me on this? the poll question asks "how many pages do you USE?"

you USE 6......even if the last page is for "development" or even "scrap".....it's still a page used.

lol......what a joke!

But it isnt USED full time. So for those who have X screens 100% filled, when they install an update it goes on X screen + 1 while the update is in progess, should they say X or X + 1?

roflmao....ok, ok. like i said, you managed to turn a seemingly simple poll into something more complicated.

k, marked ya down for FIVE screens Jeremy!

Jeremy, note to self for the future: don't ever make reference to your dev screen in public again. ;)

1 page. 8 icons. (91 total apps)

thanks to categories, no more scrolling to the next page.

How did you change the appearance of your phone like that? The whole appearance of the phone looks different than the phone that comes out of the box. How did you do that? :)
