My daughter's iPhone screen is black and will not respond to turning on. Is there something we can try before sending it back to Apple? AT&T said they can't do anything and you have to take it to the Apple Store. We are almost 2 hours away from closest one so that's probably not the best solution for us. I wanted to see if there's something I can do before I call Apple and send it in to them for repair/replacement.

Thanks

You could try a reboot (press and hold the home and power buttons until the phone restarts), but if your LCD or battery is bad, it's not going to matter.
