Do you think Apple will release a smart battery case for the iPhone SE 2020? I purchased the iPhone 7 smart battery case, but don't like how it won't work with Qi wireless charging. Debating on returning it and getting a cheap case and waiting a bit to see if any third parties release one.

You should be able to use third party ones for the 8. Just make sure they state they work with wireless charging. Weird Apple never made one for the 8 since it changed to wireless charging.
Does the current one for the 7/8 work with SE2 ?

Do you lose wireless charging with a battery case? I assume yes and this is why there is no official Apple one.

Yeah I might do that eventually, still not bothered enough to get the 7 battery case. Right now have just been using smaller battery packs to charge when I am low.
You only lose it if the case doesn't support it.

This never made sense to me either, especially since the 8 was the first with wireless charging.
