And with no 64GB option anymore, I can see SE 4 jumping $479, or even $499.

I haven't seen any solid rumors claim the starting capacity, so I think starting at 64 Gb could be a way to keep the starting price lower. Apple charges $50 more to go from 64 to 128, and $100 to go 128 to 256, so $479 is bare minimum (only $50 more than SE3 with all the changes), but likely not at 128Gb for that price.

I was hoping SE 4 would have more upgrades than usual for an SE.

But considering the fact that Apple has probably had to spend considerable r&d money to downgrade iPhone 14 to have the rear camera-setup go from dual to single, I'm expecting this to be the most expensive SE 4 yet.. even though it's just a single rear camera iPhone 14 with 8/128 and Apple Intelligence support.

Previous SEs adopted older designs and exterior components 1/1 and just got upgraded a few internals which kept the price down.

But an iPhone 12/13/14 with a single-camera setup is actually, in a sense, a new design.

Despite the camera downgrades, it is still a decently upgraded iPhone 14 with 8/128, Face ID, MagSafe, USB-C, and a few other, less important internal upgrades.

And with no 64GB option anymore, I can see SE 4 jumping $479, or even $499.

For iPhone buyers, that's still a pretty good deal.

I still hope they could add the 15's or 16's display upgrades. Even without Dynamic Island, that would add a ton of value. Probably won't happen. But maybe, since they already had to redesign the back?

God forbid they downgrade it to the one from iPhone 12, or take it back to LCD.
I would love a high quality LCD display to be quite honest.

First iPhone SE was small like iPhone 12 Mini and 13 Mini.
Nobody cares how much it will cost.
I would instantly buy a new iPhone SE Mini or 17 Mini for 1500$.
Size is most important.
Size, and touch ID. If they made it all available only in the pro I would go for it too!
