Here's the thing, though.

Some EU regulation made it necessary for Apple to release new phones with USB-C ports, right?

The current iPhone SE does not have a USB-C port.

So will it soon be illegal for Apple to sell the SE in the EU? In which case, they'll need an updated model to fill that spot in their product line.

So it seems like a new SE will have to come out sooner rather than later, right? Even if all they do is change the port.

Products that are already on sale before the ruling comes into effect are exempt and can still be sold.
