The small screen is the only regret I had when I purchased my SE...years ago. I thought for sure by now Apple would have thrown the low end a bone. Nope. FU Pay me is all I see when I look at Apple's lowest priced products.

If I need to replace my iPhone 8 I will consider this phone as a replacement. My iPhone 8 currently does everything I want it to. As it's 3 years old now it might not cope so well with future updates (plus I really don't like faceID).
My in-laws, who are in their 70's, are still happily using their iPhone 8 Plus phones. They have no use or want for the "latest and greatest" features; all they do is make/receive calls, get texted pictures of their grandkids, and watch YouTube, that's it. I am hoping there will be that rumored "SE Plus" phone in the near future, because that's what I would want to get them whenever their iPhone 8+'s finally need upgrading.

I'm not so sure, I think people slowly do get tired of its design with so much potential display space being wasted on bezels.

My guess is that it will sell worse than the 2020 SE and the next SE we will see will be in the iPhone 12 mini chassis (especially if there won't be an iPhone 14 mini). Then they can again re-use old assembly lines, strip it of some of its 'Pro' features like FaceID, integrate TouchID into a side button instead and have a logical successor to the current SE.

Some say that the 3. Gen SE hasn't actually been upgraded but it's just old 2. Gen SEs with
new background wallpapers..

Jk. But still.. would we really know without that new wallpaper? I'm not so sure. ?

The iJustine review just dropped! Time to watch her fake, overly enthusiastic take on a phone with a design from 2014!
I swear -Not even 10 seconds into her review she says "I'm so excited.. I LOVE the iPhone SE. Now, as my personal phone, I always go with the Pro Max version."

Not even Justine is going to say she would ever use an SE.

To all of those who want to and can drop 1500 bucks on a phone every year. Go ahead. Its your right and privilege. The rest of us are just fine with that. Even though you seldom seem to be fine with us.

Honestly I must have a reading disability. I can not for the life of me understand this news story.

"Pre-orders for all configurations of ‌iPhone SE‌ opened with an estimated delivery date of March 18,"....

Ok, my sister ordered one on 3/11 and they gave her a 3/18 date and time to pick up.

"but customers in the United States"....

That's her

"..ordering any version of the ‌iPhone SE‌ are now facing an estimated delivery window of March 29, or March 28 if additional shipping costs are paid."

Huh? "Are now facing?" what does that mean? The date has slipped? She wasn't notified? But then I keep reading:

"All configurations of the ‌iPhone SE‌ will be available for launch day in-store pickup on March 18"

Great, so which is it? Dates have slipped or they haven't?

", but inventory could run out quite quickly for some configurations."

Huh? Sorry, I'm not criticizing. My sister is 72, and her 3g phone will die on 3/31, so I pushed her into this SE (I think she's using an iPhone 4 believe it or not). I can't understand whether this story means they are DELAYING those that already bought? Or whether if you BUY NOW, you'll see a later date. Can anyone clarify?

I'm waiting for T-Mobile to offer another free phone, as they did two years ago on Memorial Day weekend. Except for the $150 for the 64->256 GB upgrade, I didnt pay a lot.

iPhone SE sells well. But don’t think there is any particular high demand during launch as seen for the iPhone launches in September.

I'm thrilled because the Iphone SE2's are dropping down to $150 used here in Korea. And I can put a new battery in one for $50. I decided that's the best value path for me, until I'm ready to upgrade to something like a 14 or 15. Or maybe a used 13. Heck, I'm not going to lose a lot on a $150 phone, and the chip is still plenty good in the SE2. The price of a new SE3, after taxes and fees in Korea, ends up being pricey at $531.

I don’t expect this phone to ‘sell out’, when it doesn’t nearly have the marketing as Apple‘s more expensive iPhones in September. But I do expect this phone to sell well long-term. And I think that’s what this device is more intended to be, is not overly hyped, but a practical upgrade and widely available without all the ‘Pro’ features that may not matter to various consumers.
This design has been around for 6 years, yet Apple still released it again and updated. Something tells me its selling very well.

The price point is amazing, its $400 compared to iphone's 13 $800 for something that runs just as fast and all the modern apps. What more do you want?! I know its a preference thing but I rather carry this small factor phone with me than a mini-tv in my pocket.

The free upgrade, also applies if someone has a business account. But I don’t think T-Mobile promotes that, being it’s something they exclusively offer annually, but it’s not on the latest iPhone models either though.

Sprint used to offer "iPhone Forever" plans to allow annual phone upgrades. T-Mobile had it for a momentbut i dont see it any longer. The merger has changed things.
